Jane Johnson grew up in Connecticut. After completing her undergraduate work at Briarcliff and Rollins Colleges, Jane entered the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC. where, from 1980-86, she studied with Gene Davis, William Christenberry, William Newman, William Willis, and Ann Purcell.

Several paintings appeared in the early 1990’s Mathew Broderick, Meg Ryan film, Addicted to Love.

In May of 2009, she was awarded Best Landscape at the Guild Hall Museum show by Jodi Hauptman, Curator of Drawings, MOMA, NY.

Today, Jane’s work can be found in the permanent collection of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC, in the collection of the U.S. State Department, and in numerous private and corporate collections.

Jane Johnson lives and paints in Sag Harbor, NY.
